I heard Willie perform this past Fruday at Beans in the Belfry for the first time, and I was blown away! He is so talented and knows all these songs that most of his generation wouldn't have the first idea about, and it gives me hope that no one will forget about the start of rock and roll and the "real" country from way back when! I especially love the Johnny Cash covers. I look forward to hearing some more originals too! Keep it up Willie, and I will do my best to come to see you play whenever I can! I hope you get to meet Dylan one day, I think he would be thoroughly impressed with you!

We had a great time at Hollow Creek last night. Your son put a smile on my face. We love the Old time Country songs of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. I grew up listening to those old songs.
I talked to you about Willie coming to our event fundraiser for the Preston Tarleton Scholarship Fund. It's a Auction and we would love to have him there. Preston's friends and Family would love this. It would mean the world to my husband and I to have you there. Please contact me about how much would you charge us, and the date is Sunday May 27, 2012 from 1-9 at the Smith's in Jefferson across from the Jefferson Elementry School. Just let me know what time Willie would like to perform. Thank you I will be waiting to hear from you.

Dear Willie,

The Shepherdstown Business Association is co-sponsoring the traditional pasta dinner for the Freedom's Run Marathon next Friday,
Sept. 30. I've heard you sing at the Farmer's Market and I think everyone would enjoy
hearing you sing. The time would be around 6:00 p.m. I don't know what you charge or how long you normally sing.

Thank you,
Meredith Wait

I'm a graphic designer that used to live in Maryland and knew your mom from when she was at BP Solar (they are a client of mine) -- Your mom just reconnected with me through LinkedIn and she told me you were pursuing music and were quite good and gave me a link to your website. I think you're really talented and love the music that you are playing -- I'm totally in awe of how many great young musicians there are out there -- I also enjoy the music of Joe Pug - you probably are familiar with him but if not check out his music. Very original songwriter.

I"ll check to see if you have a facebook page an if so, I'll go to it and 'like' it so it will appear in my feed to the folks I communicate with (I don't do a huge FB thing and basically have my profile hidden except to the group that I participate with -- just way too much info out there and I'm a fan of privacy. )

Wishing you a lot of success in your career. Keep writing and singing! You've got talent. Make sure to post your upcoming shows on your website -- I don't get to Maryland much but at some point I have no doubt you'll be touring and I'm sure you'll play at the Strand in Rockland Maine --and I'll definitely come to cheer you on. (P.S. check out the North Atlantic Blues Festival for a little taste of some of the music scene up here in Maine.)

best regards!

Hey Willie:

My wife and I heard you and your band for the first time, last evening, at Frederick's First Saturday. You guys are great and you are unbelievably talented and poised for a young man entering his senior year in High School. You have a great stage presence. Have you considered allowing people to purchase your recordings by downloading them from the internet? Good luck, as you begin your senior year. Art Irving/Urbana

Willie, hello and good day. We met at the court street fountain when you were playing for the celebrate Frederick Festival. I talked with your Mother and met your manager Father Mark. I informed them of the I Ride/Rock On Festival that I am the creator and promoter of that takes place the first Sunday of every month, weather permitting, although I Ride/Rock On every day in any type of weather. The ride is for bicycles, scooters, runners, and motorcycles, not automobiles from the Myersville town hall to the Middletown Overlook. We ride at 12 noon so all should be there between 11am and 11:45 to be ready to Ride On. A large number of people come to the Overlook to be a part of the Festival and bring food/drink and support the clean and beautiful environment of Maryland that we all preserve and protect. This is what the I Ride/Rock On Festival is all about, is for all people to come outside and see what they are recycling for and using less electricity and conserving fresh water. I Ride full time and love it. Our air is clean and I see the life that surrounds me of all living things everyday from trees, plants, animals and people. I am asking if you would be interested in coming to the next I Ride/Rock On Festival June 5, 2011 and play some of your acoustic music on the mountain at the Overlook. We will be riding in around 2:30pm, although there will be people there probably getting in around noon to get theie spaces, grilles and tables ready. I am in contact with Key 103, WFRE 99.9, WAFY 106.
9, to hopefully be a part of this as well. Hey, hey Willie. Come outside. This sounds like a new song for me to write. Yes, you guessed it; I do play and write songs. My name is Steven. I am Rock On.

Thanks for a fantastic pre-Mother's Day show today train-side at Brunswick. (Don't that brakeman look good, Ma, flagging down the double-E?) Really, really enjoyed it!! Thanks for singing "One too many mornings", which I haven't heard too many people cover and thanks for playing Desolation Row (my favorite meditation when I was your age. I missed EP & TSE, though, fighting while calypso singers laughed at them...)

Willie-

Thanks for a fun evening on Friday night!

I looked over our You Tube performance of the Carl Perkins song we did last Friday night and was really impressed how well you are now playing the guitar - especially as illustrated on that song. Your strumming pattern is dead on the money for the song, and is very reminiscent of the way that Eric Clapton often can be seen strumming in a perfect rhythm pattern through out an entire song while he's singing. If you look over some of the Eric Clapton / Carl Perkins performances on old Johnny Cash Show You Tube performances you'll see what I mean. Both Carl Perkins and Eric Clapton would be certainly proud of your cover version, and either would no doubt would feel very comfortable playing along side you while doing the song - certainly enjoying hearing you and playing with you just as much as I did last Friday night

Thanks for including me in the evening, and I look forward to providing you with some bottom end on the bass perhaps on some more of your songs sometime in the future when you're up for it.

You did really well last Friday night and I was proud to be included in the evening. Keep on rockin'

Hey Willie,
Great show at the Coffee Co. Friday nite. Sorry I couldn't stay for full show. Re your song list, you had asked for info on some songs with unknown artists. "House of the Rising Sun" was done by the Animals. When I was in High School back in the 60s, that was the first song budding guitar players learned. Congrats on your great success, look forward to seeing you soon. Harold
